ONE?
It’s the mandatory health check for your car to determine if it’s roadworthy and meets specific emission standards.
If your car is over 3 years old, it must have passed its MOT. If not, you could face a £1,000 fine and invalid insurance; even points on your license.
When is my
MOT due?
An MOT is due annually. If you’re unsure when your last one was, get in touch we can find out for you. Or click on the button and check at DVLA. After your first MOT with us, we’ll even send you a friendly reminder 4 weeks before your next one is due
Can I book in early?
Champing at the bit? Want to get your MOT out of the way? We don’t blame you.You can bring your car for its MOT up to one month before your MOT is due without facing any penalties.
How quickly can
you get me in?
To make sure your MOT at S&G Services goes as smoothly as possible, we try to make sure you never have to wait more than a few days for your car to have its MOT.
The different classes of MOT test
represent different types of vehicle:
Class 2: Motor Bikes
Class 4: Cars and Small Vans up to 3000kg Design weight
Class 7: Larger Vans 3000kg – 3500kg Design weight

Without a valid M.O.T certificate it is illegal to drive your vehicle on the road and you won’t be able to purchase road tax, and you may be liable for a fine of up of £1000. To avoid this why not let us send you reminder. You can book your MOT up to 28 days in advance of the date it’s due to expire with no loss of time on the current expiry
